Wizyta na Łotwie (V 2018)


Z wizytą w kraju nadbałtyckim
Przedostatni tydzień maja był niezwykle bogaty w nowe doświadczenia dla grupy uczniów i nauczycieli z naszej szkoły, którzy uczestniczyli w wizycie w Talsi na Łotwie u jednego z partnerów projektu Erasmus +. Była to już ostania wymiana uczniów w ramach projektu "Read, Write, Speak and Enjoy!".
Goście powitali nas w szkole występem grupy taneczno – wokalnej, która zaprezentowała pełne dynamiki widowisko muzyczne, w którym wybrzmiewały ludowe melodie Łotyszy. Uczniowie mieli też okazję obserwować lekcje, a także pracować w międzynarodowych grupach.
- Bardzo podobały mi się zajęcia w szkole – podsumowuje wizytę jedna z uczestniczek Karolina Truszkowska. – Uczestniczyłam w grach anglojęzycznych, zajęciach plastycznych zdobienia ramek metodą decoupage. Nauczyłam się kilku podstawowych zwrotów z języka łotewskiego.
Natomiast nauczyciele mieli okazję poznać nowe metody nauczania – techniki dramowe oraz  innowacyjną metodę nauczania matematyki ABN.
Podczas wizyty odwiedziliśmy Rygę - miasto gotyckich zabytków,  drewnianej, rosyjskiej zabudowy oraz XIX-to wiecznego przepychu, pełnego finezyjnie zdobionych  kamienic. Największe wrażenie na uczestnikach wyjazdu wywarła jednak wizyta w Bibliotece Narodowej Łotwy. Wysoki hol sięgający do samego szczytu biblioteki, otwarte klatki schodowe i duże okna rozświetlające wnętrze nowoczesnego budynku powodują, że czytanie książek w takim miejscu jest ze wszech miar przyjemne.
Był także czas na krótki odpoczynek nad morzem, odwiedziliśmy Jurmałę - rozległy kurort nad Zatoką Ryską z pięknymi XIX-to wiecznymi, drewnianymi willami i uzdrowiskami, a także 35 kilometrową "białą plażą".
Nie zabrakło także aktywności na świeżym powietrzu. Uczestnicy projektu z przyjemnością podążali Ścieżką Pszczół w Laumu Nature Park, prowadzoną przez doświadczonego przewodnika. Mogli tam poznać tajemnice królestwa pszczół: zajrzeć do pasieki, obejrzeć z bliska plaster miodu czy przymierzyć strój prawdziwego pszczelarza.

Wszystkich urzekła niezwykła gościnność rodzin łotewskich, u których nocowali nasi uczniowie. Potrafili oni stworzyć prawdziwie rodzinną atmosferę, przepełnioną wieczornymi śpiewami. Dzięki temu młodzi uczestnicy wymiany czuli się jak w domu, doświadczając braterstwa słowiańskiej natury.

Monday, 21st May  First stop - Latvia, Talsi “
8.30  Visit to school
9.00- 10.00  An official opening of the project visit at the school hall. A concert.
10.10. –10.50 Partner schools students visiting primary schools students,        prezntations about partners  country.
Children of each country have made a presentation and a speech about their country. The students and teachers of Talsi elementary school are introduced to the presentations and the speeches. The presentation is in English and IT tools are used.    
-to increase ICT skills by students
- to promote tolerance, openness for different cultures, traditions, customs;
-to develop using English to communicate effectively

10.50 - 11.40  Team work (pupils work in international groups )
The students work in international groups to improve their social skills and also their English. They do reading exercises with the help of teachers

15.00 – 17.00  Visiting ceramic facture “Ciparnīca“
The Latvian students have prepared a speech about their city and also have prepared a rout to take them on. The students are the tour guides. By visiting “Ciparnīca” we introduce the visitors to Latvian traditions of crafting. 
18.00- 19.00   Visiting and concert in “Dziesmu skola”’
At “Dziesmu skola” students are introduced to all four member states singing traditions. There is a music lesson for the students.

Tuesday, 22th May The second stop - Latvian nature “

9.00 –10.00  Team work (pupils work in international groups)
The students work in international groups so that they can improve their communication skills in English. There is a lesson about Latvian nature.
10.00- 17.00 –A tour in Dundaga, Slīteri, Kolka, Roja.
Lunch is in Dundaga.
( Kubalu school, Dundagas castle, Šlīteres lighthouse , Exotic animal farm, Pēterezera well, “Kolkas rags”, Roja )
The students visit “Kubalu” school and have a lesson in old Latvian fashion. The students learn calligraphy. At Sliteres lighthouse the students learn about Latvian nature. They read about Latvian plants and compare them to their countries plants. They learn new words, so they can make a speech about the forest, the sea, the plants and etc.

Wednesday, 23th May  The third stop - the capital of Latvia –Riga”
8.30 – 19.00 A tour in Riga
(Natonal Library , Old Rigga, “Lido”, Kr . Barona museum)
The Latvian students have prepared tour in Old Riga. They improve their socialand speaking skills. The participants of the project go to the National Library of Latvia, “Kr. Barona” museum, monument of Rainis.  Learn  about Latvian writers.

19.00 Time with families


Thursday, 24thMayThe fourth stop –the  animals in Latvia “
9.00 –10.00 Creative workshops at the school
The students work in pairs. They make a collage about the last few days. After the first activity the students are put in groups and they work on their writing skills with the help of projects dictionary.   
 10.00 -11.40. Team work (pupils work in international groups.
 There is a lesson about animals in Latvia.
12.00 – 13.00 Lunch
13.00 – 14.00 Photo shoot
15.00 – 19.00 Activities at “Laumu dabas parks”
At “Laumu dabas parks” the students improve their reading skills and Latvian students also improve their translating skills. The students learn more about birds on the “Path of birds” and learn more about bees on the “Path of bees”

9.00 - 11.00 Excursion to the Latvian Agriculture Muzeum
12.00 – 13.00
Team work “Do you remember? (pupils work in international groups)
The students improve their listening skills and also increase their vocabulary by visiting Latvian Agriculture Museum. The students work in groups to look back at what happened this week. Project summary.
 13 13.00- 14.00 Project closing event in Talsi folk house .
14.00-15.00 Zumba (disco for children)
